Overview

A 15-day bespoke safari in Uganda with a focus on seeing the “Big 5” wildlife, gorillas, River Nile, cultural immersion, tree planting practices and varied landscapes.

Day-to-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and meet your guide. Transfer to your accommodation, enjoy a briefing on the adventure, and optionally explore the lakeside or local markets.

Day 2: Explore Kampala

Discover Uganda’s vibrant capital with visits to heritage sites, cultural centres, and bustling markets, gaining insight into local traditions and urban life.

Day 3: Jinja Adventure

Drive through the lush Mabira Forest to Jinja, the Adventure Capital. Take a boat cruise at the Source of the Nile and try water rafting or zip-lining along the river.

Day 4: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary & Murchison Falls

Travel north, stopping at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary to track white rhinos on foot. Continue to Murchison Falls National Park and enjoy the scenery along the Nile.

Day 5: Murchison Falls Exploration

Enjoy a morning game drive to spot elephants, lions, giraffes, and buffalo. Optionally hike to the “Top of the Falls” or take a scenic Nile boat cruise to see hippos, crocodiles, and birds.

Day 6: Travel to Kibale Forest National Park

Journey southwest toward Kibale, visiting local communities to experience traditional culture. Arrive at your accommodation in time for orientation and dinner.

Day 7: Chimpanzee Trekking in Kibale & Transfer to Queen Elizabeth NP

Embark on an early morning chimpanzee trek, observing these fascinating primates in their natural habitat. After lunch, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park for an overnight stay.

Day 8: Queen Elizabeth Game Drives & Kazinga Channel Cruise

Morning game drive to spot elephants, buffalo, and Uganda kobs. Afternoon boat cruise along Kazinga Channel to see hippos, crocodiles, and an array of birdlife.

Day 9: Ishasha & Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest

Drive via Ishasha to spot the famous tree-climbing lions. Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest, arriving for a peaceful jungle evening.

Day 10: Cultural Immersion, Tree Planting & Coffee Cupping

Engage with a nearby community for tree planting. Experience a local coffee cupping session and learn about traditional agriculture practices.

Day 11: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Set out early for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. After the trek, transfer to the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 12: Lake Bunyonyi & Transfer to Lake Mburo

Begin the day with a scenic boat cruise or island visit on Lake Bunyonyi. Later, drive to Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy an evening game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife.

Day 13: Guided Bush Walk & Return via the Equator to Kampala

Morning bush walk with a ranger to explore wildlife on foot. Drive back to Kampala, stopping at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping.

Day 14: Recovery & Leisure in Kampala

Relax with spa treatments, gym or salon services. Explore local markets, enjoy dinner spots, or do final shopping before departure.

Day 15: Departure

Enjoy your final meal, then transfer to Entebbe International Airport for your onward flight.
