A journey across Uganda’s wild heart; filled with waterfalls, wildlife, warm cultures, and unforgettable storytelling.
You arrive late at night at Entebbe International Airport, welcomed by warm tropical air and the friendly Travad Tours team. After a smooth transfer to Kampala, check in, unwind, and rest before the adventure begins.
Wake up to Kampala; lively, colorful, and full of rhythm. You will explore:
By sunset, Kampala feels less like a city, and more like a heartbeat.
Drive East to Jinja passing sugarcane fields and gentle hills early morning.
Here, the world’s longest river begins; and so, does your adrenaline.
You dive into white-water rafting or choose a calmer boat ride, depending on your comfort level. Laughter, water sprays, and river breeze fill your day.
You overnight in Jinja.
Leaving Jinja in the morning, you drive north toward Nakasongola, arriving at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the only place in Uganda to track rhinos on foot. Rhinos became extinct in Uganda in the early 1980s and the Ziwa site is being used as a breeding site for black and white rhinos. During our 2 hours at the sanctuary, we will see these creatures roaming around the 7,000 hectares of land and see their daily interactions.
Track white rhinos on foot with expert rangers; a powerful and humbling experience. After lunch, continue to Murchison Falls National Park, arriving in the evening. Overnight: Near Murchison Falls NP
The savannah opens up as you enter Murchison Falls NP, Uganda’s largest and oldest conservation area.
Stand beside it, it shakes the soul. Overnight in the park or in Masindi.
Today is a full travel day through Uganda’s changing landscapes.
Pass towns, tea estates, forests, and valleys as you journey south-west toward Bwindi
Impenetrable Forest. We will arrive in Bwindi through Ruhija sector (Eastern side) of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park by late evening and have dinner at the lodge in Bwindi.
This is the emotional heart of the journey.
After a morning briefing, trek deep into the rainforest with experienced guides. Then — silence, movement, eye contact — a gorilla family emerges.
One hour with these gentle giants changes everything.
The afternoon is for rest, reflection, and absorbing the moment.
Overnight: Bwindi
Start the morning with a community tree-planting activity, giving back to the forest. Batwa cultural experience adds deeper context and history.
You then travel to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s most peaceful lake. Canoe across mirrorcalm waters, surrounded by terraced hills and birdsong.
Later in the afternoon, drive on to Lake Mburo National Park.
Overnight: Lake Mburo NP
Rise early for a final morning game drive, when wildlife is most active.
After the drive, you begin the journey back to Kampala.
Arrive in the city by evening, ready to slow down.
Overnight: Kampala
Today is unhurried.
In the afternoon, visit Mulungu Fishing Village, where daily life unfolds along the water — enjoying some fish to eat, fishermen mending nets, boats drifting in, stories exchanged with ease.
The rest of the day is free:
Uganda now feels familiar.
Overnight: Kampala
Your final day is gentle and open.
Enjoy a slow morning; coffee, packing, last conversations.
Later, you are transferred to Entebbe International Airport for departure.
You leave with more than photos; you leave with stories, friendships, and a deeper connection to the Pearl of Africa.
