Overview

This 11-day journey takes you across Western Uganda’s lakes, forests, and national parks. Track gorillas and chimps, spot tree-climbing lions, cruise scenic waters, plant a tree with local communities, and immerse yourself in culture; an adventure that blends wildlife, people, and conservation.

Day-to-Day Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe – Transfer to Kampala

Arrive at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to your hotel in Kampala. Briefing on the safari itinerary and optional local exploration around the hotel. Overnight in Kampala.

Day 2: Kampala City Tour

Explore Kampala’s heritage sites, cultural centres, and bustling local markets. Immerse in the city’s history and vibrant culture. Overnight in Kampala.

Day 3: Kampala – Kibale Forest National Park

Drive south to Fort Portal, passing scenic highlands and rural villages. Continue into Kibale Forest and check in at Primate Lodge. Overnight at Kibale.

Day 4: Kibale Forest – Chimpanzee Tracking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Morning chimpanzee tracking for up to one hour with habituated chimpanzees. Afternoon guided walk in Bigodi Wetland to experience local community life, birding, and primates. Overnight at Kibale.

Day 5: Kibale – Bwindi Impenetrable

Depart early for Bwindi, passing through Queen Elizabeth NP’s Ishasha sector to spot tree-climbing lions. Picnic lunch en route, Equator sightseeing.

Day 6: Cultural Immersion, Tree Planting & Coffee Cupping

Engage with a nearby community for tree planting. Experience a local coffee cupping session and learn about traditional agriculture practices.

Day 7: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi & Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Set out early for an unforgettable gorilla trekking adventure. After the trek, transfer to the tranquil Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 8: Lake Bunyonyi & Transfer to Lake Mburo

Begin the day with a scenic boat cruise or island visit on Lake Bunyonyi. Later, drive to Lake Mburo National Park and enjoy an evening game drive to spot nocturnal wildlife.

Day 9: Guided Bush Walk & Return via the Equator to Kampala

Morning bush walk with a ranger to explore wildlife on foot. Drive back to Kampala, stopping at the Equator for photos and souvenir shopping.

Day 10: Recovery & Leisure in Kampala

Transfer back to Kampala. Enjoy recovery activities: dinner spots, sauna/spa, gym, salon, local markets, final shopping, and picking up souvenirs. Overnight in Kampala.

Day 11: Departure from Entebbe

Grab a final meal before driving to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight.
